D. Martin McGlamery, Jr., 57, passed away Monday, May 10, 2004. Mr. McGlamery was born in Greensboro, N.C. He came to Brevard County in 1957 from his birthplace. He was a professional Classical Singer and voice teacher. He was a voice instructor at BCC, a voice instructor and coach for the Cocoa Village Playhouse, and a Bagpipe instructor and performer. Mr. McGlamery was a member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne, the Phi Mu Alph Sinfonia, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He is survived by his mother Nell A. McGlamery. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 19th, at the Cocoa Village Playhouse. Nell A. McGlamery, 93, passed away Sunday July 11, 2004. Mrs. McGlamery was born in Tillery, N.C. She came to Brevard County in 1957. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and a life member of the Garden Club. She played the piano and sang most of her life. Mrs. McGlamery is survived by her sister, Clara Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard M. and son, D. Martin McGlamery. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 16th, in the Brownlie-Maxwell Chapel.
